BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – BAJAN songstress Shontelle Layne has recently been featured in the remix for her label mate Serani’s hit song ‘No Games’.

The Universal/Island Records label mates recorded the song while on tour in the United Kingdom, where Layne has scored big with her tunes ‘T-shirt’ and ‘Stuck wit u’.

Universal/Island Records will release the No Games + remix package digitally on July 6.

“Shontelle was great to work with,” said Serani. “She’s a very talented songwriter and she has a great personality, so the chemistry was good in the studio. The remix is hot.”

Layne, who is originally from Barbados, is known for her brilliant songwriting skills and penning the Caribbean women’s anthem, ‘Roll’, which is sung by Allison Hinds.

She got her big break in 2006 and has since released her debut album ‘Shontelligence’ in 2008, while Serani is a member of Jamaica’s busiest and digital audio production and recording groups, Daseca. This group was founded in 2001 by two brothers, David and Craig Andrew Harrisingh, and their friend, Crag Serani Marsh, who used parts of their names to form the group with the aim of producing the best among upcoming artistes in the music industry in Jamaica.

Serani has been blessed with the ability to discover talent which has brought to forefront an artiste called Bugle. He has managed to hit the mainstream with a massive song called ‘What we gonna do’ (exercise). Bugle will definitely be a force to reckon with in the future, and Serani is also recording his own songs including ‘Doh’, featuring Bugle, and ‘She loves me’, a groovy sensual song for the ladies.
