BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – FOLLOWING the recent discovery and seizure of five illegal firearms and 32 rounds of ammunition in the Conaree Village area, last night (May 12) members of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force removed yet another illegal pistol and a quantity of ammunition off the Federation’s streets.
This time, however, it was in Cayon.
A police report issued this morning stated that at approximately 10:45 p.m. members of the Special Service United had executed a search warrant on a property in Cayon and discovered one Ruger P345 .45 Pistol with a magazine containing five rounds of matching ammunition.
Six persons, who were found at the location at the time of the operation, were apprehended and taken into custody along with the illegal firearm and ammunition.
This seizure has taken to 19 the number of illegal firearms removed off the streets of St. Kitts and Nevis for the year.
