Iwer George Interview Today on Pep Radio

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – IN an effort to promote the upcoming St. Kitts Music Festival, SKNVibes will be conducting live interviews with some of the artistes who are scheduled to perform.

    Today, Wednesday, June 17, Pep Radio DJ’s, Kesean Hi-light James and Rajiv ‘DJ Rinch’ Hamilton will interview soca sensation Iwer George at 3 p.m.

    Listeners also have the opportunity to submit questions they would like the DJs to ask Iwer George at
    yardtune@sknvibes.com.
    Iwer George will be performing on the opening night of the festival (June 25) along with Lord Nelson, Edwin Yearwood, Lejah Band featuring Blade & Byke, Biggie Irie, Nu Vybes Band, The Grand Masters Band and Mavado.  

    Neil Iwer George, born in Point Fortin, Trinidad and Tobago, has been heating things up on the Soca Music scene since the 1980s.  His professional singing career began at the age of 21. 

    In 1987, Iwer the singer/songwriter exploded unto the entertainment scene with the song "Boom Boom Time".  He went on to place 2nd in the Road March Competition in Trinidad and Tobago, but was the crowd favourite. 

    That year, Iwer also took home the coveted award for the best Nation Building Calypso with the song "Times Hard, Hold Tight".
    In 2000, Iwer won his very first Road March title with the song “Carnival come back again”. 

    Iwer never fails to amaze his fans.  He always seems to find a way to surprise his fans.  

    Iwer George, who is referred to as being the “Big Man In the Business”, keeps giving us one hit after the other. A few of his hits are : "Ah Home", ”Na Do Dat", "Jump and Wine Up", "Iwer Dance", "On ah Bam Bam", "Yes Iwer", "Wine on Yuh Property", "Jump and Dunk", "Bottom in de Road", "Carnival Come Back Again", "Celebrating Carnival" , "Horn Meh Nah”,etc. In 2004 Iwer has released the following tunes, “Brooklyn Anthem”, “ Turn Around”, “Until”, "Big 3" with Bunji and Denise, and “Father”.

    Since his meteoric rise on the soca music scene Iwer George has been very much in demand throughout North America, Europe and the Caribbean, where he continues to please and amaze his audiences. Iwer is currently with the Invasion Band along with his brother Naya George. 

    In 2002, Iwer wrote the song "Trinidad" for Naya, who went on to win the Road March title in Trinidad for that song. Not only is Iwer a talented musician, he is also a gifted song writer who always seems to have something new up his sleeves.
