Bird Rock, St. Kitts, Monday June 19th 2017(SCASPA): Carnival Cruise Lines, the world’s largest cruise ship operator, partners again with the St. Christopher Air and Sea Ports Authority (SCASPA) for the 3rd time in rewarding the school with the highest score in the SCASPA Category of the 2017 Best in Class High School Quiz Competition with a day-long visit to the Carnival Fascination.
During their time on board, the contingent of six from the Charles E Mills Secondary School will have an opportunity to meet Carnival Fascination’s management team,, explore the ship’s attractions, enjoy a tour of the ship’s operations and lunch aboard the vessel.
In 2015 when Best In class celebrated its 5th Anniversary, Carnival Cruise Line was excited to come on board as this venture mirrored its philanthropic program of youth development in participating destinations and organizations. That first year saw two schools, Basseterre High School and Immaculate Conception Catholic School, as the recipients of this award; in 2016 Basseterre High was again the privileged recipients. This year Charles E Mills is the lucky winner.
SCASPA again publicly goes on record in thanking Carnival Cruise Line for strengthening our efforts to generate greater and long-term interest for the cruise travel industry among the youth; engrain SCASPA as an esteemed corporate citizen while promoting academic excellence.
