Basseterre, St. Kitts (November 1, 2005): Minister of State in the Ministry of Tourism Hon. Senator Richard Skerritt congratulated schools participating in the Youth Congress after what he referred to as, a "phenomenal performance" by students.
According to the minister although several of the expected schools dropped out at the last minute, the two remaining schools (Convent and Sandy Point High) did not disappoint. Rather, they appeared to make up for it by performing with distinction.

The youth congress final was held at ZIZ studio on Monday, October 31.
