BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - With all the excitement surrounding the 2009 Music Festival currently at a threshold, it is good to know that this year, Nevis will receive a sample of what is in store prior to the actual event.
In collaboration with TEMPO, Ziggy Rankin will whet Nevisians’ palates with a taste of his popular music by performing tonight (June 24) at the Pinneys Beach Hotel. The show will also see live footage being taken for his new video.
In speaking to Collette James, the on-island Representative for TEMPO on Nevis, she explained that she was delighted to have Frederick Morton (TEMPO CEO), Ziggy Rankin and the rest of the entourage in Nevis. She guaranteed that the show would be off the “fizzle.”
Further, the show will see the ODISI Band, which is the arguably the “BESTEST” band in Nevis. The said Band will also be backing up Ziggy Rankin on Friday night at the Music Festival.
James continued by adding that for only EC$20, the experience would provide all Nevisians with a chance to see the artiste perform his mega hits, including ‘Another One Gone Again’, and even be in his new video showing true Nevisian beauty and culture.
“It’s unbelievable,” James spurted, “that one can also purchase a VIP ticket to lounge around with the artiste and have complimentary H’ordoevres and drinks throughout the night for only EC$50. Simply unbelievable!”
The event is also good for tourism, as it will help to market Nevis on TEMPO as a prime vacation destination, on a continuous basis in the future. With a DJ from Antigua, the ODISI Band and Ziggy Rankin, all performing with the ambience of the Pinney’s Beach Hotel poolside, plus the Caribbean Sea and the lights of St. Kitts in the backdrop, the scene is set for a wonderful evening. The event kicks off at 8:00 p.m.
