Closure Of The Territory’s Airports Due To The Passage Of Hurricane Irma

    GIS, 4 September 2017 - The BVI Airports Authority announces the phased approach closure of the Territory’s airports, starting today, Monday 4th September 2017, due to the passage of Hurricane Irma.

     

    Today, Monday 4th September:

    ? Taddy Bay Airport, Virgin Gorda - Sunset (6:00pm)

    ? Tomorrow, Tuesday 5th September:

    ? Auguste George International Airport, Anegada - 12 noon

    ? Terrance B. Lettsome International Airport, Beef Island 12 noon.

    We are asking all stakeholders to secure their offices, property, equipment etc.

    An assessment on the conditions of each airport will be made early Thursday morning following the passage of Hurricane Irma and a further press release issued to announce their openings.
