    Former Deputy Governor of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB) Mr. Errol Allen.
     
    BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, NOVEMBER 4TH 2005
    The St. Kitts-based Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB) has a new Deputy Governor.
    He is Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Finance, International Financial Services and Economic Affairs in St. Lucia, Mr. Trevor Brathwaite, who succeeds former Deputy Governor, Mr Errol Allen, who retired at the end of March after 31 years of dedicated service to the Bank.
     
    A Central Bank statement said Mr. Brathwaite has been employed with the Government of St. Lucia since 1992, and has held the positions of Comptroller of Inland Revenue from 1995 to 2003; and Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Finance from 2003 to date.  Prior to his appointment with the Government, Mr Brathwaite worked with KPMG Peat Marwick in St. Lucia, New Zealand and Barbados. 
     
    The ECCB welcomes the appointment of Mr. Brathwaite who has a strong Accounting and Auditing background and brings to the position wide experience in working with the public and private sector.  Mr. Brathwaite expects to take up his appointment in April, 2006.
