Four bills to get first reading at Friday's National Assembly sitting

    BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, JULY 2ND 2009 (CUOPM) – Four bills will be introduced and given their first reading when the St. Kitts and Nevis National Assembly meets on Friday 3rd July.
     
    The Small Business Development Bill, 2009, stands in the name of the Minister of Finance, International Trade, Industry, Commerce and Consumer Affairs, Dr. the Hon. Timothy Harris.
     
    The Minister responsible for Justice, Dr. the Hon. Dennis Merchant will introduce and have read a first time, the Bill of Sales (Amendment) Bill, 2009. Dr. Merchant in his capacity as Attorney General and Minister of Justice and Legal Affairs will introduce and have read a first time The Electronic Crimes Bill, 2009.
     
    Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas will also seek the leave of the lawmaking body to introduce and have read a first time, the National Assembly Elections (Amendment) Bill, 2009.
     
    The session begins at 10:00 A.M.
