BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, November 22, 2017 (PLP PR Media Inc.) -- Players on the Lodge Domino Club team were ruthless on Tuesday evening November 21 when they met their counterparts on the Guinness Domino Club team at Bernette Bar in Hidden Alley Lodge Village, in what could best be described as a one-sided game.

Initially the game was supposed to have been played at the Lodge Community Centre, the home base for Lodge who are a former champion and is now the top title contender in this 22nd edition of the annual Constituency Number Seven Dr the Hon Timothy Harris Domino League competition.

Reports reaching this media suggest that the two teams agreed to shift ground as the Lodge Community Centre in Lodge Project was hosting another game, while Bernette Bar did not have any game. The fact that Lodge travelled to play in Hidden Alley in Lodge Village they decided to play a tight game which they did, and at 10:28 pm they stood up in jubilation after having mercilessly pummelled Guinness 14-2.

Sylver’s scored the only revenge win on Tuesday when they subdued Giants 13-7 at the latter’s home base, the Lodge Community Centre in Lodge Project. In the first round, Giants had beaten Sylver’s in their home base, Tacky Bar in Hidden Alley Lodge Village by a similar margin.

In other games of the night, Tabernacle beat Small Corner 13-6 at the T-Vill’s Hang Out Spot in Tabernacle Village, Unstoppable beat Saddlers 13-4 at the Edgar Gilbert Sporting Complex pavilion in Molineux, and Beers beat Parsons 13-7 at Rousey’s Place on Main Street in Parsons.

Two of the games were won in a most dramatic fashion. Defending champion Unity travelled to Mansion to meet Mansion Upsetters at their home base, Domino House, but the home team could not raise enough players giving Unity a 13-0 win via walkover.

Christchurch Domino Club travelled to Molineux where they were supposed to meet the home team Molineux Domino Club at the Edgar Gilbert Sporting Complex pavilion. Captain Zeyn Pencheon of Christchurch had come with only one item on the agenda: To revenge the beating they had received at the hands of Molineux during the first round.

Christchurch however got the win, but without having to push a dice as Molineux could not raise enough players. It was a 13-0 win for Christchurch via walkover.

Games played on Tuesday November 21 were the last in the second round of the round robin stage of the Constituency Number Seven Dr the Hon Timothy Harris Domino League competition and according to League Organiser Calvin Farrell, the tournament’s playoffs will commence on Tuesday November 28 at Domino House in Mansion.

At the end of the second round of the round robin home/away competition, Lodge was still leading with 128 points, followed in second place by defending champion Unity with 107 points, and Saddlers which is one the two teams from Constituency Number Six taking part in the competition at the third position with 99 points.

Other teams in order are Beers (97 points), Sylver’s (90), Molineux (80), Unstoppable (78), Mansion Upsetters (74), Christchurch (70), Giants (50), Guinness (46), Small Corner Bar (45), and Parsons, the other team from Constituency Number Six, (30).
