President’s Message

By: SKCA, Message

December 24th, 2017 -- As President of the St. Kitts Cricket Association, I would like to take this opportunity, on behalf of the Executive and Management Committee, to wish all clubs, players, umpires and their families a very Happy Christmas.

The past year has seen some significant changes and accomplishment to cricket in St. Kitts, including our second back to back win of the LICB men’s tournament under the coaching of our new level 3 coach Mr. Steve Liburd and Manager Mr. Percy Daniel. The SKCA having laid a solid foundation this past year is poised to spearhead a vibrant and consistent new year of all formats of cricket starting as early as February and continuing throughout the year.

We eagerly await the New Year to meet with all our stake holders to discuss this new thrust to further develop cricket in 2018.

Meanwhile I would like to thank the numerous volunteers involved in ensuring the smooth running of the SKCA and its obligations in hosting International, regional and local matches.

It is impossible not to mention the immense contribution and commitment of Carleen Delaney, Robert Jeffers and Vice President Charles Morton.

Our success as an organization would not be achieved without the dedication of our staff. Thanks to the bar and office staff who regularly go beyond the call of duty.

Many thanks to the Ministry of Sports for its effort in assisting us in scheduling so many games this past year, we look forward to improving our relationship of the proper use of cricket facilities.

May the new year bring new hope, happiness and good health to you all.

We trust you are all enjoying the season so far and we look forward to 2018 Good luck to you all for the rest of the season.

    Yours in Cricket
    Dennis Phillip

    President SKCA
