Buju Banton robbed in Spain

By: Cherisse M. Sutton-Jeffers, SKNVibes

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – VETERAN Reggae artiste Buju Banton, who recently released a new album ‘Rasta Got Soul’, had his tour bus robbed earlier this week in Barcelona, Spain.

The alleged robbery took place the same night he performed in Sal Apolo as part of his Rasta Got Soul European tour.  According to one876.com, robbers managed to get away with a laptop and a large amount of cash.

"The man them break into the tour bus and take out a laptop and a large quantity of cash. It was a shame too because he really pulled a great audience that night...the tour has been going well, the Europeans are really excited about seeing Buju and they are coming out by the thousands to support the tour," a source indicated.

Buju's next performance will be later tonight (July 9) at Tribuhne Kireau. Rasta Got Soul was dropped in April and features tracks such as ‘Hurt Us No More’, ‘I Rise’, ‘Make You Mine’, ‘Magic City’ and ‘Sense Of Purpose’, among others.

The album is said to have been originally composed during Buju’s 2004 exile when his visa was confiscated due to a ganja charge. Rasta Got Soul is a strictly roots and culture affair.
