BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, May 02.2018 – THE police have issued a wanted bulletin for officer Dijon Warner, who is under two investigations and has absconded to the United States.
As this media house has been reporting, the officer is under investigations for the shooting death of police officer, Brian Pacquette and the assault of a citizen.
Pacquette, who was Dominican-born, was shot in the leg while he and Warner were investigating a report of larceny in progress.
However, he was subsequently sent to Trinidad and Tobago for treatment but later succumbed to his injuries.
Following reports first published by SKNVibes News, it was revealed that the young officer left the federation and went to the United States, where he is currently a resident.
According to a police statement issued today, “A warrant in the first instance, exists for the arrest of Dijon Warner of Conaree for Manslaughter in relation to the shooting death of former police officer, Brian Pacquette which occurred on June 23, 2016.”
At the police force’s recent press conference, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Hilroy Brand confirmed that a wanted bulletin will be issued, and arrangements will be made to have him returned to St. Kitts and Nevis.
“Concerning the officer who has absconded, we have received the file from the Director of Public Prosecutions to lay charges and presently, we are liaising with our counterparts in the United States to exactly find out the whereabouts,” Brandy said.
Police described Warner as being 24-years-old, 5’8’’ and is a resident of Conaree.
His place of birth is given as St. Kitts and is brown in complexion with black hair that is well kept; dark brown eyes and is slimly built.
Police are asking anyone who sees him or knows of his whereabouts to contact the Criminal Investigations Department.
