Giants in Best of the Rest finals in Constituency Number Seven Domino League

Kivaun Isaac of Giants makes one of the moves that helped his team beat Small Corner Bar at the Lodge Community Centre and sail into finals of Best of the Rest competition
By: Peter Ngunjiri, Press Release

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, October 23, 2018 (PLP PR Media Inc.) -- For having returned the best win in the two elimination matches of Best of the Rest competition that were held on Monday October 22 as part of the 23rd edition of the annual Constituency Number Seven Dr the Hon Timothy Harris Domino League competition, Giants Domino Club has sailed into the finals.

Held at the Lodge Community Centre in Lodge Project, Giants came up against Small Corner Bar in a match that they led all the way and snatched a comfortable 13-4 win. Giants Domino Club players were excited by the win, as it meant that they have sailed into the finals to be played shortly, but whose actual time is yet to be established.

The second of the elimination matches in Best of the Rest competition was held at the neighbouring Cuban Bar, where Molineux came up against Guinness. The match was tightly contested as at an early stage Guinness appeared to have had an upper hand, but Molineux put their act together by overcoming the deficit and went ahead to win 13-9.

Molineux still have a hurdle to clear if they are to join Giants in the finals of the Best of the Rest competition. They will have to play a semi-final match where they will face Sylvers Domino Club who had received a bye into the semis on account of having the best results among the five teams that qualified for the Best of the Rest competition.

According to Calvin Farrell, coordinator of Constituency Number Seven Dr the Hon Timothy Harris Domino League, the match will be held this week but the actual day will be determined after results of the second take in the best of three semi-finals of the overall competition that will be played on Tuesday October 23 at the Lodge Community Centre are known, for availability of space at the centre.
