    BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, NOVEMBER 24TH 2005 
    A lucky Conaree resident has a chance to purchase shares or make a down payment on land as a result of winning a competition at last month's Financial Fair hosted by the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB).
     
    According to the sub regional financial institution, Conaree Gardens resident,  Mr Carl Matthew is the recipient of a cash award of $2,200.00, the first prize in a competition held at the Financial Fair in St Kitts during last month's Financial Literacy Month activities.
     
    "This cash certificate, which is redeemable only for the purchase of shares or a down payment on land, offers Mr Matthew the opportunity to invest in the Federation of St Kitts and Nevis," the ECCB said.
     
    Fair patrons were invited to answer sixteen questions based on information provided by participating institutions.  Questionnaires with fourteen or more correct answers were entered into a drawing for several prizes.
     
    The other lucky winners were Ms. Chantal Doras, who received a gift basket filled with various prizes and Ms. Keisha Huggins, who won a $200.00 cash certificate for the purchase of shares, compliments the Eastern Caribbean Securities Exchange (ECSE).
     
    The grand prize and the gift basket were collaborative contributions from the institutions participating in the fair, namely: the Development Bank of St Kitts and Nevis, Bank of Nova Scotia, FirstCaribbean International Bank, Royal Bank of Canada, Eastern Caribbean Home Mortgage Bank, National Caribbean Insurance Company, British American Insurance, St Kitts Nevis Insurance Company, St Kitts-Nevis-Anguilla National Bank, St. Christopher and Nevis Social Security and the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank.
