BASSETERRE, St. Kitts- The popular Jamaican concert dubbed ‘Champions in Action’, which is held every year, is being taken to Canada for its first ever overseas staging.

Last month’s show in Jamaica featured performances by Assassin, Beenie Man, Bounty Killer, Daseca, Mavado, Ruff Kut, Vybz Kartel, and other top acts.  In Canada, the show will be held at Toronto’s Downsview Park on Saturday, October 10.

The Champions in Action concert has developed into a world recognized brand.   A spokesperson for the company Presidential Click, which is the promoter of the show, said that "The natural step for us is to take it international so that dancehall and reggae fans overseas can get a piece of the champion vibes that they've been watching on tape and DVD for nearly 20 years."

Champions in Action Canada promises to showcase some great performances.  The line-up for the Canadian staging of Champions in Action includes Anthony B, Chino, Coco T, Elephant Man, I Octane, Laden, Spice, Vegas, and more.

According to Jamaica’s 876radio, plans are being put in place to stage Champions in Action throughout the Caribbean and in other countries.
