LIAT/Tropical Storm Erika advisory # 2

    ST. JOHN’S, Antigua, September 2, 2009 – Regional airline LIAT has issued a revised schedule for Wednesday afternoon as Tropical Storm Erika approaches the Leeward Islands.
      
    The following flights have been cancelled:

     

    1. LI 508 – Antigua, St. Maarten, Tortola
    2. LI 509 – Tortola St. Maarten, Antigua
    3. LI 510 – Antigua, Tortola, San Juan
    4. LI 511 – San Juan, Tortola, Antigua
    5. LI 512 – Barbados, Antigua, St. Maarten, Tortola
    6. LI 324 – Antigua, St. Kitts, St. Maarten
    7. LI 325 – St. Maarten, St. Kitts, Antigua
    8. LI 368 – Antigua, Anguilla, St. Thomas
    9. LI 329 – St. Thomas, St. Maarten, Antigua
    10. LI 557 – Dominica, Antigua
    11. LI 770 – St. Lucia, Antigua

     

    In addition the following flights have been rescheduled:

     

    1. LI 367 – Antigua to Barbados will now depart at 5:00pm
    2. LI 311 – Antigua, St. Vincent, Grenada, Trinidad will now depart at 5:00pm

     

    Passengers whose flights have been cancelled may re-book on the next flight on which seats are available without penalties or change in fare.

     

    It is anticipated that all flights north of Dominica, including Guadeloupe, Antigua, St. Kitts, Nevis, Anguilla, St. Maarten, US Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic are likely to be affected on Thursday 3rd September.

     

    Passengers are advised to continue monitoring radio stations or contact their local LIAT office for further updates.
