    BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, NOVEMBER 29TH 2005  Eight bills will be debated when the St. Kitts and Nevis National Assembly meets on Thursday.

     

    According to the Order Paper sent to lawmakers, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Social Development Community and Gender Affairs, the Hon. Sam Condor, will seek the Second and Third Reading of the Divorce Bill, 2005.

     

    Minister of National Security, Justice, Immigration and Labour, the Hon.

     

    Dwyer Astaphan will pilot through there stages the Vehicles and Road Traffic

     

    (Amendment) Bill, 2005 and through the Second and Third Readings, the Parole

     

    Board Bill, 2005; the Criminal Injuries Compensation Bill, 2005 and the Criminal Justice Bill, 2005.

     

    Minister of State in the Ministry of Tourism, Sen. the Hon. Richard Skerritt, will lead off on The Saint Christopher and Nevis Vacation Plan and

     

    Time-Sharing Bill, 2005.

     

    Attorney General and Minister of Legal Affairs, the Hon. Delano Bart will move the Second and Third Readings on the Legal Professional Bill, 2005 and the Small Charges Amendment) Bill 2005.

     

    All of the Bills for debate, with the exception of the Vehicles and Road Traffic (Amendment) Bill 2005 and the Small Charges (Amendment) Bill, 2005, were given their First Readings during previous sittings of the National Assembly to allow time for submissions and comments to be made by interest groups and individuals.
