Patricia Hanley affectionately known as "Nurse Patsy" continued to show her care for the Gingerland Community by sponsoring the "Patsy Hardtime Synpers Football Team" out of Gingerland Nevis.  The football team had entered into the local Nevis Football League without a sponsor and was in desperate need of a football uniform to play in and Nurse Patsy answered their call. Patsy also made a monetary donation to the team to help them start a bank account to ensure the long term viability of the team.

Nurse Patsy, candidate for the Nevis Reformation Party in Gingerland in the next local elections said she saw the sponsorship of uniforms and monetary contribution as necessary.  She made the point that she saw it as a small contribution to her community as there was nothing like sport that helped to build community spirit.  The Gingerland Team she said must look as good as anyone else out there playing on the field and that she hoped that her contribution would help to keep the young men together and help them in their quest to be successful on the football field.  She said that she could not ignore the cries of the young men for help and saw her contribution to them as meaningful as through sport one is better able to appreciate the values of discipline, determination, teamwork and fair play.

The captain of the team Neil Duport in accepting the cheque and the uniforms on behalf of the team said, "we are really appreciate the sponsorship.  It came in at the right time.  We really needed it because the season has already started so it came in the clutch.  We would like to thank Patsy for her sponsorship."
