    BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS (MARCH 9TH 2004) – The new United States Ambassador-Designate to the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis, Her Excellency Mrs. Mary Kramer presents her credentials to Governor General His Excellency Dr. Sir Cuthbert Sebastian on Wednesday morning.
     
    Mrs. Kramer, who succeeds Ambassador Earl Phillips Jr., arrives late Tuesday afternoon and begins her hectic round of engagements early Wednesday morning with a Breakfast Meeting with the new 12-member Board of the St. Kitts and Nevis Chamber of Industry and Commerce at the Ocean Terrace Inn.
     
    She pays a courtesy call on the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Education, Dr. the Hon. Timothy Harris before going to Government House to present her credentials to Sir Cuthbert.
     
    The United States Ambassador, who is accompanied by her husband, Mr. Kay Kramer; Political Economic Counsellor, Mr. Paul Belmont and Political Officer, Mr. Timothy Smith, will later pay a courtesy call on St. Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister, Dr. the Hon. Denzil L. Douglas, before returning to the Royal St. Kitts Marriot Beach Resort, where she is staying.
     
    A guided tour of the Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park is planned for mid-afternoon. The United States Embassy and Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine host a Reception in honour of the US diplomat for resident Americans at 6:30 P.M. and one honour later for local residents.
     
    Ambassador Kramer before leaving St. Kitts will meet with the Washington-based St. Kitts and Nevis Ambassador to the United States, His Excellency Dr. Izben Williams; the Premier of Nevis the Hon. Vance Amory at the Marriott Hotel; the Board of Directors of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank and Mr. Lindsay Grant of the Peoples Action Movement.
     
    Ambassador Kramer travels to Nevis on Friday and will pay a courtesy call on Deputy Governor General of Nevis, His Honour Mr. Eustace John. Other events planned on Nevis include a meeting with the Nevis Island Administration Cabinet, a guided tour of Nevis, a reception for Americans resident in Nevis and Nevisians at the Botanical Garden, breakfast with Republicans Abroad, a meeting with Political Leader of the Nevis Reformation Party, the Hon. Joseph Parry and NRP Chairman, Mr. Herman Liburd, a guided tour of Nevis and a Press Conference at VON Radio.
