BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – DIGICEL and Bobsy’s Bar and Grill has done it again; together they pulled off another exciting and great party.
The event, dubbed “Represent”, was held last evening (Sept. 15) at Bobsy’s in celebration of the Federation’s 26th Independence anniversary. The venue was filled with persons ‘rocking’ the national colours of St. Kitts and Nevis or SKN-themed clothing as they were encouraged to wear by the organisers.
Along with outfits made out of the national flag, many people also wore clothing from SKN designers including Cane Juice, Sugar Klothing and Brown Sugar Designs.
The event also featured the launching of the Inferno Carnival Troupe with their 2009/2010 presentation, titled “Viva Las Vegas”.
Costumes were modelled by local models in three categories - Oasis, Show Girls and Moulin Rouge.
This year marks the group’s fifth anniversary and the fifth consecutive year it has set out to be the first troupe to launch its costumes.
The designs are sexy and eye-catching, and after the models showcased the designs many persons showed interest and signed up to be a part of the troupe.
Signing up for the troupe at the launch not only guarantees one a spot in the troupe, but also a discount on the overall price of $50.
Two costumes were also given away last night by Inferno to a male and female.
Music for the night was provided by DJ Beni of Tombstone International and Ronnie Rascal who played predominantly soca music to the excited crowd that danced the night away until the wee hours of the morning.
This was the fifth staging of a theme party hosted by Digicel and Bobsys.
