    BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS (MARCH 9TH 2004) – Switzerlands’s Ambassador-designate to the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis, His Excellency Mr. Walter Suter, arrived here Tuesday evening for a four-day visit.
     
    The Swiss diplomat presents his credentials on Wednesday morning to His Excellency the Governor General Dr. Sir Cuthbert Sebastian.
     
    Mr. Suter, who entered the Foreign Service in 1964, will also make courtesy calls on Prime Minister Dr. the Hon. Denzil L. Douglas and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. the Hon. Timothy Harris.
     
    Ambassador Suter is expected to visit downtown Basseterre on Wednesday afternoon and go on an Island Tour with a stop at the Brimstone Hill Fortress on Thursday. He departs the Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport early Friday morning.
     
    The Swiss diplomat has served in Argentina, China, France, Lebanon, Paraguay, Spain and Uruguay.
     
    His also served as Consul General in Vancouver, Canada. His most recent appointment was in Geneva, where he served as Head of the Consular and Financial Inspectorate since 1999.
