BVI Press Release
B.V.I. Monday, October 5 – The Complaints Commission will be the topic of the next HR Talk session scheduled for Thursday, October 8 at 10 a.m. in the Breezeway of the Central Administration Building.

The session is being organised jointly by the Deputy Governor’s Office and the Department of Human Resources.

The objective of the HR Talk is to explain the roles and powers of the Complaints Commission in a forum designed for information sharing and to answer questions from employees.

Complaints Commissioner Mr. Elton Georges explained, “The session will describe in detail the structure of this independent authority designed for the undertaking of complaints against and within the public service, in an attempt to implement good governance across the public sector.”

Director of Human Resources Mr. David Archer told the Department of Information and Public Relations that HR Talk is designed to be a forum for public servants to learn about issues and to share their views, and he is pleased that the Complaints Commission will be able to use it as such to get the word out about its roles and powers.

The Complaints Commission seeks to identify and remedy defective administration and encourage agencies to improve their practices so as to always deliver services in a fair and sound manner.
