    B.V.I. Thursday, October 8 – The Complaints Commission hosted an HR Talk session today in Breezeway of the Central Administration Building for public servants.
     
    The session, which was organised jointly by the Deputy Governor’s Office and the Department of Human Resources, was held to explain the roles and powers of the Complaints Commission in a forum designed for information sharing and to answer questions from employees.
     
    The Complaints Commission has embarked on an education campaign on the roles and powers of the Commission and hosted an Information Session on October 5 for commissions, statutory bodies, public authorities and board members at the Public Service Training Centre. 
     
    Mr. Georges explained at the session that, “The purpose of the meeting is to raise the awareness of the roles and powers of the Commission and apprise you of the work we do to assist in improving governance in the public service.”
     
    Mr. Georges added, “The commission is regarded by all as a respected and important factor in the constantly improving quality of administrative practice and decision-making throughout the public sector.”
     
    The Complaints Commission seeks to identify and remedy defective administration and encourage agencies to improve their practices so as to always deliver services in a fair and sound manner.
