BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – ANDREW ARTHURTON of Big Drew Productions will be hosting a Ghouls and Fools Halloween Party at the Cane Club located at the Royal St. Kitts Hotel on Saturday, October 31.
Arthurton said this is the second time he is hosting such an event in which patrons are encouraged to dress in their best costumes for a night of total fun in celebration of Halloween.
“Big Drew productions hosted the same event last year at Sugars, which turned out to be a hit and came off better than expected as almost all of the persons who attended came dressed in costumes,” he said.
He said that some persons who attended the event last year were dressed as Werewolves, French Maids, Ballerinas, Witches, Sexy Female Police along with other male costumes.
There will be prizes for the Most Unique Costume, Best Costume Overall and Sexiest Costume.
Arthurton said this is their way of encouraging people to participate in the American tradition that he hopes to make an annual event, which is different from the regular parties and would add to the theme parties.
It was at age of 13 when Arthurton first organised an event; it was held at the Girl Guides Headquarters after the Interschool Championship.
“I have a passion for organizing. I was first introduced to it by being around my mother and her friends when they used to organise the modelling shows for Classique Modelling Agency, and I saw that organising events was something I wanted to get into.
“My enjoyment comes from the after effects and seeing it all come together and hearing people talk about the event afterwards and their expressions, which give me a challenge for next time,” he said.
Music will be provided by Dj Flames, Challice Sounds, Sweet Sister Sensia and Evolution Sounds.
“This event kicks off on Saturday, October 31 from 9:00 p.m. until you’re unable to dance anymore,” he said.
Arthurton is also encouraging everyone to look out for his 20th Birthday Bash that would be held sometime in November.
