BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - SLEUTHS are now probing to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the death of Kenneth Percival.

Reports indicated that the 50-year-old man drowned at the Ferry Terminal after he sought to retrieve a package that fell into the Caribbean Sea.

In a statement to the media, the Police Force’s Public Relations Department indicated that a report was received yesterday afternoon (Feb. 26) that a male had drowned

That report was received at around 4:00 p.m. and enquiries revealed that the McKnight resident dived into the Sea from the pier at the ferry terminal to retrieve the propeller of a motor vessel that had fallen off.

However, when he failed to resurface, the St. Kitts and Nevis Coast Guard was called to render assistance.

An officer from that entity discovered Percival’s motionless body at the bottom of the Sea.

Police are seeking additional information about the incident and anyone with details is asked to contact the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force.
