BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - POLICE are seeking the public’s assistance in the identification of two armed individuals who robbed and assaulted the owner of a business establishment in Saddlers Village.
Police in a media statement said the robbery occurred yesterday (Aug. 11) between 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. at the Good Life Supermarket.
The Anti-Gang Unit of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force responded to reports of the robbery ans preliminary investigations revealed that two masked, armed assailants had entered the business establishment and “the business owner was assaulted at gunpoint and pushed to the floor while both assailants stole a sum of money from the cash register”.
The bandits also stole an item off one of the sheves and made good their escape through the front door.
The scene was processed by the Crime Scene Unit and items of evidential value were collected.
As investigations into this matter are ongoing, the police are encouraging anyone with vital information to contact the nearest police station.
