BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - POLICE yesterday (Aug 23), following complaints, updated the media on the missing pieces of information from a press release issued on the discovery of Methamphetamine (MDMA).
In its update, police explained that on Sunday (Aug.20), a search warrant was executed on the premises of Dimitri Amantrading by the Joint Security Operations Tactical Team (JSOTT) and a quantity of a substance suspected to be Meth was found.
Amantrading was arrested and the substance was seized and further analyzed.
According to the police, he was subsequently charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Supply.
Other persons on the premises were informed that they would be prosecuted for the offences.
Police noted that Amantrading was bailed in the sum of EC$10,000 with two sureties after being charged on Tuesday (Aug.22) and he is expected to return to court on Monday (Sept.4).
