BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - AFTER suffering a disappointing home season, the St. Kitts-Nevis Patriots have made several changes to the squad, as they seek to make the playoffs this year.
According to a statement from the Caribbean Premier League (CPL), English players Benny Howell and Will Smeed would be joining the St. Kitts-Nevis Patriots.
The two Englishmen will be replacing Blessing Muzarabani and Ambati Rayudu who have left the tournament to deal with personal matters.
The franchise will hope that the changes will bring new fortunes as the players have so far struggled to put together all-round performances.
Currently, the team only has two points from six games after suffering four consecutive defeats at home.
They suffered heavy defeats against the Guyana Amazon Warriors, Trinbago Knight Riders, Jamaica Tallawahs and the St. Lucia Kings.
Meanwhile, Carlos Brathwaite will join the Barbados Royals as a temporary replacement for Donovan Ferreira, who was recalled by South Africa for international duties.
