BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - POLICE are once again reporting that they are investigating a robbery; this time in the Fort Tyson Rise of Frigate Bay.
The incident occurred between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. on Saturday (Nov. 11), and the victim reported to police that while getting ready for work, he heard someone knocking on his front door and calling his name.
In their media statement, officers indicated that the unidentified victim stated that upon opening the door, two assailants dressed in dark clothing with their faces covered rushed into his home and accosted him.
“The victim reported that one assailant physically restrained him while the other searched his home. Shortly thereafter, both assailants forced him to open the vault in his home office from which they stole a sum of money,” the police statement read.
According to the police, the assailants also stole several other items of value before bounding the victim and fleeing the scene.
The victim sustained bruises to his neck and an elbow during the incident, “but is otherwise in good physical condition”.
Personnel from the Crime Scene Unit processed the scene and took into custody a number of items of evidential value.
