BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - POLICE have provided additional information on the Frigate Bay shooting incident that resulted in the death of Malik Hughes, and are requesting the public’s assistance in bringing the perpetrator(s) to justice.
In a media statement, the Police Force said officers are investigating the incident which occurred between 21:30hrs and 22:00hrs yesterday (Nov. 15) along the Frigate Bay Road.
The statement noted that upon arrival at the scene, officers found Hughes’ body on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds.
The 18-year-old Fort Thomas Road, McKnight resident was pronounced dead at the scene.
Personnel from the Crime Scene Unit had processed the scene and took some items of evidential value into custody.
Hughes’ death has taken to 25, the number of homicides recorded in the Federation for this year.
As investigations are ongoing, the Police Force has requested that anyone who might have information concerning this matter should contact the nearest police station or call the Crime Stoppers’ Hotline at 707.
