Hanley crowned Carnival Queen

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - AFTER a very entertaining evening of intelligence, beauty and exquisite gowns at the Warner Park Cricket Stadium on Friday (Dec. 28), Desnarine Hanley strutted her way into the hearts of the patrons and judges to walk away with the title of 2023/2024 Miss St. Kitts and Nevis Queen Pageant.

     

    One of the premier events organised by the St. Kitts-Nevis National Carnival Committee (SKNCC), the Pageant saw a large turnout of patrons in support of their their choice among the six contestants.

     

    After being judged in five segments, Hanley, Sponsored by the St. Kitts Music Festival, amassed 916 points to walk away with the crown.

     

    The First Rupper-up position went to Miss TDC Group of Companies Ltd, Miss Desanne Maynard, who scored 859 points, while Miss St. Kitts-Nevis Anguilla National Bank,  Azariah Vanterpool took the Second Runner-up position with 845 points.

     

    Meanwhile, the queen did not disappoint as she snapped the Best Interview and Best Ambassadorial Statement segments. 

     

    Shavel Watson captured the Best Ambassadorial Costume and Best Talent titles, while the Best Swimsuit title went to Jeymi Peets, and the Best Evening Gown title was won by Desanne Maynard.

     

    Carnival Activities continue today (Dec. 30) with the Children’s Carnival Parade.
