Breaking: West Indies end near 3 decade drought with test win

By: Staff Reporter, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts -- AFTER nearly 30 years of being trounced by Australia in test matches, Shamar Joseph and the West Indies have defeated the top ranking test side to level their two match series 1-1.

Set Australia a below par score of 216, West Indies were able to bowl out the host for 207 on the back of Joseph’s seven for 68 to record an eight run win.

With the series leveled at 1-1, Australia retained the Frank/Worrel trophy.

The Guyanaese Joseph, the newest find for the Caribbean, confirmed that he was not scheduled to be at the ground for the game because of his toe injury.

"...the doctor did something to my toe. I don't know what he did. But it worked. I just stuck to the basics. Stuck to the top of off. I feel like we win [sic] the entire series by winning this Test. Shout out to my teammates for their support.’

Joseph added: “I cried for my five wicket haul but I'm so happy now. I'm not even tired. I would have kept bowling."

Full report in a subsequent news article.
