BASSETERRE, St. Kitts -- POLICE are currently investigating a robbery that took place at the Horsford Gas Station on Wellington Road in Basseterre, St. Kitts, yesterday evening (March 15). The incident occurred between 7:45 p.m. and 8:45 p.m.
According to police reports, several gunmen entered the premises and held up the establishment. Investigations thus far indicate that three masked assailants, armed with firearms, entered the establishment and stole a sum of money from the register before fleeing the scene.
In recent months, there have been multiple incidents of armed robberies targeting various establishments, including those owned by foreign nationals. This has prompted both the police force and the Chamber of Industry and Commerce to emphasize the importance of investing in security measures for businesses.
Despite these challenges, the police have been making progress in locating and apprehending perpetrators involved in such crimes.
