Breaking: St. Kitts and Nevis defeat San Marino in friendly match

By: Staff Reporter, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts -- DESPITE a slow start in chilly conditions, St. Kitts and Nevis overcame a challenge from San Marino with a 3-1 victory at the San Marino Stadium in Serravalle, San Marino, this evening (Mar. 20).

The Sugar Boyz embarked on a journey to Europe to face the host in two international friendlies during the FIFA window. San Marino Boyz took an early lead in the 21st minute with a Filippo Berardi penalty, awarded after a foul in the penalty area.

This setback served as a wake-up call for the visitors, as Tyquan Terrell's striked in the 31st minute allowed the Sugar Boyz to level the score. With renewed energy and confidence, St. Kitts and Nevis created more scoring opportunities, and Andre Burley's goal in the 45th minute gave them the lead just before halftime.

In the second half, Harry Panayiotou secured St. Kitts and Nevis' victory with a goal in the 49th minute.

The two teams are set to face each other again in the second game on Sunday.
