LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) Land Survey

The public is asked to note that a low-flying aircraft will be flown over Saint Kitts and Nevis between 1,500 and 5,500 ft above sea-level and built-up areas as part of a joint initiative between the Climate Action Unit and the St. Christopher and Nevis Air and Sea Port Authority to conduct a LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) Land Survey between the hours of 8:00 AM and Sunset on Thursday 4th and Friday 5th April 2024

This process involves capturing images that map the Federation’s terrain and geographical features.  Please know that all maneuvers undertaken throughout the survey process will be performed in accordance with the standards and safety regulations of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and as such, there is no need for alarm.

    Please be guided accordingly.
