BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – BARBADIAN-born singer Rihanna is one of the artistes chosen from among world-class top performers for this year’s Nickelodeon Kids` Choice Awards (KCA).
This year’s event is slated for Sunday (Mar. 28) at the UCLA`s Pauley Pavilion from 8:00 p.m. and will be featuring many other stars including Robert Downey Jr., Tina Fey, Steve Carell and Queen Latifah.
KCA is an annual awards show, which is usually telecast live, that honours the year's biggest television, movie and music acts voted by the people.
According to CaribWorldNews, Jackie Chan, Jonah Hill, David Spade, Chris Rock, Lea Michele, Dev Patel, Miranda Cosgrove, and Shaun White will also be present at the event.
The media house also said that in addition, Olympic Speed Skating champion and eight-time medalist Apolo Anton Ohno would attempt to set a new world record for being catapulted into slime via the Kids` Choice Awards Slime Slingshot, with the help of WWE superstar John Cena, who will call the shots as Ohno attempts the impossible.
Children can currently cast their votes online at www.nick.com/kca10 in a total of 19 categories. This year marks the first time Canadian kids can vote for the award show because of the cable channel, Nickelodeon, being newly available in that country.
