NHLDC installs new billboards

Press Release

The Nevis Housing and Land Development Corporation (NHLDC) has begin installation of several new billboards around the island. The signs, advertising the Corporation’s help desk, are being posted at the pier in Charlestown, Cades Bay, the Newcastle bus stop, Gingerland and at the round-about in Stoney Grove.

The Corporation’s Housing and Land Coordinator Eugene Stapleton said the billboards primary purpose is to alert home owners to the help desk which was set up to attend to their concerns and complaints.

“On the billboard there is a telephone number, 469-0280. That is the number of the help desk which people need to call if they have a concern or a problem.”

According to Stapleton if no one is available at the time the call will go to voice-mail where the caller could leave a name, number and brief message. The Corporation would then return that call at the earliest opportunity to get more details on the issue.

Stapleton also said that the Corporation will maintain contact with the customer to ensure that whatever concerns raised have been addressed to their satisfaction.

“The whole idea behind this is to improve the operations of the Corporation in terms of getting customers satisfied with the product that we deliver.”

Customers have already started using the help desk which was set up in February.
