BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, NOVEMBER 4TH 2010 (CUOPM) – Argentina’s President Her Excellency Cristina Fernández de Kirchner has been told that death is a phenomenon that is usually very difficult to understand and when it happens unexpectedly it becomes even more difficult to cope with.

“The pangs of woes engulf the peoples of Latin America and the Caribbean as we mourn the loss of your husband, a former leader and ex-President, a father, a brother and a son of Argentina,” said St. Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas in a message of sympathy to Mrs. Kirchner, whose husband and former President died on October 27th from complications of a heart disease and who served as President from May 2003 to December 2007.

“In this time of grief, my thoughts go out to you and your family, the Government and people of Argentina, and the people throughout the world who may be affected by such sudden loss,” said Prime Minister Douglas.

“The Government and people of St. Kitts and Nevis wish you healing so that you can console your loved ones, strength to continue to lead the people of your country even in this difficult moment, and wisdom to govern with authority and a good sense of judgement,” said Dr. Douglas.
