    The Leeward Islands training squad which is presently in final preparations for the upcoming WICB T-20 series, held a few practice matches over the weekend.

     


    There were some encouraging signs with some of the seasoned players performing  moderately and at least two of the youthful new comers, making serious bids for inclusion in the final team.

     


    Here are the summarized scores:

    Game one

     


    Lionel Baker XI won by eight wickets.

    Wilden Cornwall XI: 93 for seven (Rakheem Cornwall 2l, Wilden Cornwall 20; Anthony Martin 2-15, Chesney Hughes 2-18)

     


    Lionel Baker XI: 94 for two off 16.5 overs (Montcin Hodge 33 not out, Devon Thomas 30 not out, Shane Jeffers 29)

     


    Game two

     


    Wilden Cornwall XI won by 29 runs.
