BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - IN announcing the winners of their end of year promotion, Manageress of Delta Petroleum Nevis Sharon Hobson believes that service would be the major determinant for competition in 2011.

Hobson said while there is little that businesses could do in relation to pricing of their products, the level of service being offered would determine which competitor the public supports.

“There is not much that can be done with pricing as the competitors generally purchase at the same place, but the service that they offer to their customers in the Federation will be what determines whether the public will continue to support them or not,” she said.

Hobson said in recognising this, her company has sought to ensure the service it offers is second to none.

“We know that the prices are not that far in difference, but with great service people will return. That is what we are working towards; ensuring that the public continues to return,” she said.

The Manageress pointed out that while the economy is financially challenged, businesses would have to make the required investment and take calculated risks at enhancing the services and products offered. She stressed that once this is done it would help in ensuring the public gets value for their money.

“People will be evaluating how they spend their money, while at the same time they will be looking for their money’s worth in whatever they purchase. And because of this, business will have to ensure that the standard is taken to another level.”

She hinted that during 2011 her company would be expanding, noting that they would be making a major announcement in the coming months as to some of the new initiatives and projects they would be undertaking.

“We will be rolling out some new projects and intuitive this year, but we will be releasing the information in the coming months.”

She declared that executing promotion for drivers would be a regular feat of her company, stressing that customers would see the value of their patronage to her company in many ways.

“Shopping at Delta this year will come with numerous benefits and rewards. And we want drivers to know that it pays to shop at us, as we will offer rewards, benefits, pricing and service to ensure their complete satisfaction.”

Announcing the winners of her company’s latest promotion in which all of the service stations that sells Delta’s products within the Federation participated, Hobson said Joseph Hutchinson of Sandy Point was the winner of the raffle drawn at their Camps Service Station, Shawn Isles of Bath Village won at Daytan Service Station, Drepaul Balgobin of Cane Garden at E&F Enterprises Service Station, Dereka Parry of Spring Hill at Expetrol Service Station and Greggory Elliott of Fothergills at Brookes Service Station.

Hobson said Balgobin had won a flat screen television set while the others each won a gas stove.
