BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – THE man who was in police custody following the shooting of Fleurette Williams in her jaw was today (Jan. 12) charged for allegedly committing the crime.
The man, 41-year-old Glenville Isles of Upper College Street, Basseterre, was formally arrested and charged this morning with attempted murder and will soon appear before a city magistrate for bail hearing.
It was reported that in the wee hours of Monday, December 27, 2010, Fleurette Williams was shot in her jaw while in her Lower Monkey Hill, St. Peters home.
Williams was transported to the JNF Hospital, where she was treated for her injury and is said to still being warded in that institution.
An unconfirmed report stated that two of her close relatives were questioned by the investigating officers and had provided statements that led to the arrest and subsequent charge of Isles.
