Another good week for cruise tourism in St. Kitts

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, January 12th 2011 (CUOPM) – Two cruise ships with over six thousand passengers docked at St. Kitts’ Port Zante on Friday bringing  to 19,554 the number of cruise visitors for this week.

     


    Harbour officials said Friday the 3,597-passenger Azura arrived from St. Maarten with 3,107 passengers and leaves early evening for Tortola, British Virgin Islands.
    Berthing at Port Zante also was the 3,050-passenger Carnival Victory with 3,223 passengers. It arrived from St. Lucia and leaves for neighbouring St. Maarten.

     


    The 6,330 passengers on board both ships bring 19,574 the number of passengers visiting St. Kitts for this week on nine cruise ships.

     


    Ten ships are scheduled to visit next week. The 308-passenger Wind Spirit anchors on Sunday 16th; the 2,501-passenger Serenade of the Seas and the 308-passenger Wind Surf on Tuesday 18th; the 2,850-passenger Celebrity Eclipse and the 2,124-passenger on Wednesday 19th; the 2,224 passenger Norwegian Dawn on Thursday 20th; the 1,664-passenger Thomson Destiny, the 3,050-passenger Carnival Victory and the 1,266-passenger Maasdam on Friday 21st and the 3,114-passenger Explorer of the Seas on Saturday 22nd
