BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, January 21, 2011 (PAM Secretariat) - The St.Kitts-Nevis main opposition party the People’s Action Movement kicks off a week of activities to celebrate the first year of the Hon. Eugene Hamilton as parliamentary representative for Constituency #8.

The week of activities begins on January 23rd with a church service at the Bethesda Moravian Church at 10am.

The week of activities will also feature the start of a Public Meeting Series beginning on Sunday evening January 23rd  at Parray’s Village, St.Peters.

This will be the first official meeting for the party for 2011 and the second since the elections of 2010. The meeting will mark the launch of the party’s “Better must come under PAM” campaign.

In a recent interview Grant indicated that the party has had a year of introspection and took the time to analyse the party’s strengths and weaknesses coming out of the January 25th Elections where almost 9,000 voters gave their support. The most votes the party has ever received in it’s 44 year history .

“We came out of an election January 25, and as such we, for all units of the party have been assessing and doing what I would consider a SWOT analysis with a view to ensuring we correct any mistakes we made in 2010,” said Grant.

A number of major announcements is expected to be made at the meeting on Sunday regarding the party’s plan of action for future.
