    BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, JULY 31ST 2006 
     - The Standing Public Accounts Committee of the National Assembly is to be named by the Minister of Finance, Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas.

    Prime Minister Dr. Douglas is to move a resolution during Tuesday's sitting appointing some members of the National Assembly to the Public Accounts Committee, which by law is chaired by the Hon. Leader of the Opposition.
    The Public Accounts Committee is to consist of not less than three and not more than five members of the National Assembly, in accordance with Statutory Rules and Orders No. 30 of 1969.
    The National Assembly is expected to approve the resolution naming the members.
