BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS (February 28th, 2011) – The Bigger, Better Network took to the streets of St. Kitts on Saturday 28th February, 2011 on its usually, highly anticipated “Road Show”. People from the various communities around the island were excited to see the Digicel branded tour bus drive through, with Digicel staff, Digi Girls and Guys, who came bearing free merchandise and phones for sale.
Throughout the day, Nokia handsets were purchased by hundreds of new and existing Digicel customers. The day was filled with excitement as young and old alike were seen rushing to the bus to purchase a handset, receive a free Top-up or Digicel goodies such as hats, car sun visors, bandanas and water bottles.
During the various stops throughout the island, the Digicel crew took time to mingle and interact with the community members and stopped for a few photo opportunities and friendly hugs. Music entertainment provided by Evolution Sounds and emceeing by DJ Rucus and Piece-a-Man added to the festive atmosphere.
“This was a great opportunity for Digicel to go out in the various communities and meet one-on-one with existing and potential customers,” said Marsha Lindo, Marketing Manager of Digicel St. Kitts and Nevis. “Overall, the day was a success and we sincerely thank the people of St. Kitts for their continued support”, she continued. Customers who purchased phones during the weekend’s Road Show will receive $10 credit monthly until May 2011.
