CHARLESTOWN Nevis, March 24th 2011 - A fair sized crowd turned up at the ETW Park yesterday to witness the annual sports meet of the Charlestown Pre School.
The meet was held under the patronage of former outstanding athlete at the school, Shakeemia Bartlette who is now married and carries the surname Browne.
Shakeemia Bartlette -Browne went on to become an outstanding athlete at the Charlestown Primary School and later at the Charlestown Secondary School. She is currently employed at the Inland Revenue Department.
The children competed enthusiastically in the usual races for Pre schoolers which included: Thread the roll; socks and shoes; tyre races; potato races and flat races.
The parents, grand parents and other family members cheered loudly as the winners were separated from their friends.
At the end of the day, Blue house was the clear cut winner.
