BASSETERRE St. Kitts, April 6th 2011 - The calendar of activities specifically designed to mark 40 years of achievements at National Bank continues to unfold as the year progresses. Next up on our calendar is the much anticipated St. Kitts-Nevis-Anguilla National Bank Primary Schools Quiz Competition. The elimination rounds began on 28 March with each of the fourteen participating schools being divided into four zones.
Zone 1, which comprised of schools from the Rural East, held its eliminations on Monday 28 March at the Cayon Primary School. Zone 2, which comprised of schools from Basseterre, followed with its eliminations being held at the Irish Town Primary School later that day. Zone 3, which comprised of schools from the Rural West, held its eliminations at the Sandy Point Primary School on Tuesday 29 March. Zone 4, which comprised of Private Schools, brought the eliminations to a close at the George Moody Stuart School, Tuesday afternoon.
The J.O. Williams Primary, Deane Glasford Primary, Dieppe Bay Primary and the George Moody Stuart Schools will battle it out in the finals after emerging as winners in their respective zones. The students who were tested on their knowledge of financial and banking terms at the elimination level now have to take it up a notch and demonstrate their proficiency at all things NATIONAL. Coverage of the final competition will be carried live on ZIZ TV on Thursday 7th April from 8:30 p.m. Tune in and support your favourite school!
All events being held in celebration of the Bank’s 40th anniversary are designed to reinforce National’s commitment to the various publics we serve and heighten the Bank’s dedication to its corporate social responsibility.
