Promoters warned to beware of scam artistes pretending to be agents for Tarrus Riley

By: Kevin Jackson, Press Release

KINGSTON Jamaica, April 8th 2011 - Scam artistes pretending to be authorized booking agents for Jamaican reggae singer Tarrus Riley, have been making life miserable for some promoters.

Recently, a promoter from Canada was swindled out of thousands of dollars, when he became a victim to these scam artistes.

Riley’s Management Team pointed out that persons wishing to contract Tarrus Riley for events and functions need to contact the authorized booking agents who work on the artiste’s behalf. The agents and agencies are as follows: Nancy Davis at Montrevail Agencies in Montreal, Canada (contact number 1-514-375-0388,email:montrevail@live.com or Nicole Brown of Imagine Dat Entertainment (telephone number 1-876-946-0963 or email:bookings@ideasjamaica.com).

For all additional information on Tarrus Riley please visit his official website: www.tarrusriley.com

Any bookings that have not been handled and confirmed by the above mentioned agencies will not be honoured.

‘We just want to create awareness so people will know what is happening. This is fraud and a lot of people will suffer the consequences when incidents like these occur. Promoters not only lose money but reputations are tarnished and the artiste is labelled a ‘no show,’ a representative from Riley’s management team alluded.
