CHARLESTOWN Nevis, April 13th 2011 - We, at the Department of Education would like to express our sincerest gratitude to  the general public for participating in the fundraising event that was held on April 6th  at the Inter Primary Championship) at the Elquemedo Willet Park, Charlestown in honor of Mrs. Lydia Claxton - a devoted and energetic colleague. We want to thank you for your generous donation.

If you did not get an opportunity to donate, you can still do so at the Education Department or the Nevis Credit Union.  Anyone desirous of donating by check you can make it payable to the Lydia Claxton Cancer Fund and can also submit their donation to the Nevis Cooperative Credit Union/Lydia Claxton Cancer Fund - account number at the Credit Union is 1083872.

Our goal is to raise US$10,000 by the end of the month (April). At that time a check will be made out to the US equivalent in the account and the public will know how much they contributed. We are climbing, so please don’t forget to stop by the Nevis Credit Union and be a part of the solution.
